but I recommend you start forecasting your future. It’s been a totally un-real year, and I understand that we will not be back to normal until at least Autumn next year. (Vaccinations and public health-wise). So my question is what are you going to be doing differently next year that you couldn’t or didn’t do this year? (or even starting right now?)
According to the many news stories and statistics, the majority of people have put on weight, because they have been drinking more alcohol regularly and stopped exercising because of the covid excuse. (https://covid.joinzoe.com/post/lockdown-weight-gain)
In fact, I get fed up with every other company using Covid as an excuse for not providing a good or excellent level of service. No returns or exchanges at M&S. A 40 minute wait to speak to a receptionist. Lost post. Delayed this that and the other.
In my work as a coach, I try my best to excite, inspire and motivate my clients to not accept excuses. If you expect your future results to be the same as your past results, you’re in for a disappointment. But if you dare to dream, visualise and expect to lose weight, feel healthier, have more energy, get your goals done and feel proud of your achievement, it takes a shift of your brainwaves.
I have had several people I have really wanted to help but they doubted themselves and gave up on themselves. The excuses were there to protect themselves from failing.
Here’s the thing though. You need to fail more to succeed more.
Maybe you need to fail ten times to succeed once. Maybe twenty times. It’s all very well having a huge goal – like losing three stone (or ten pounds or three dress sizes or ten stone, it doesn’t matter). But if you don’t follow through and keep on taking action, nothing will happen. A year will pass. Five years will pass. You will hit another milestone birthday and realise time is running out.
Like any successful business owner, actor or inventor, success doesn’t happen overnight. It takes consistency. Some call it hard work. You need repetition of new habits and not go back to old ways. If you start eating junk again in place of bags of salad, you will regain the four stone you lost. But if you follow through making delicious blood sugar balancing delicious foods you won’t be addicted to sugar and one piece of cake * will be enough. A personal trainer can’t do that.
It totally depends on what you think you’re worth. Do you want to live in an unhealthy body with a mind that says you’ll always be overweight because of x,y and z?
Or do you want to make up your mind that you are going to invest in yourself because you can, and you know with the right inspiration, attitude and set up it can’t fail to work?
Do you follow the herd?
Just because everyone else is doing something, doesn’t mean you have to do it too.
Don’t follow the herd. Just because everyone else eats junk snacks and drinks too much alcohol to have fun doesn’t mean you have to or need to. Be unique. Be an individual. You are amazing and don’t need to fit in.
What is holding you back from imagining the new you in 2021? Drop me an email and tell me. You might find by writing it down it makes it seem crazy. Nothing is holding you back except you. Take the step. Imagine how different and better your life will be. It’s in your hands.
